“Engaging with clay is a deeply sensory and somatic experience for me, driven by an inherent curiosity. The physicality and involvement of all the senses play a crucial role in comprehending the material, understanding its nuances, and observing its behaviors. As the material transforms into a crafted object, the intangible elements of time, care, and skill contribute a unique and challenging-to-articulate essence. Infusing my energy into these objects through handcrafting, storing it, and allowing viewers to later experience that energy is a captivating aspect that captivates my interest.”
