“I've always been interested in the impulses that happen in me and the way l express them. These works seek to explore the complex relationship between place and identity through layered compositions intended to evoke feelings of nature while not specifically representing a scene.”
Minjoo Kang’s work produces 2D glass paintings that are stacked and mixed through colored glass powder on a pane.The planar limit of the pane is changed through the three-dimensional pattern and various textures formed by the accumulation of glass powder.It is an abstractly expressed work that shows the visual effect of overlapping that can be expressed in atransparent material called glass.
