“The creative process is usually based on a lot of experimentation, and I love experimentation. Because experiment means that there is no reference to make something, no one tells you how to do it, it is a road that has not been taken before, and it needs to be done by trial and error.”

The nerikomi is assisted by the mud squeezer, which is a tool to assist the molding, and in the process of cutting the strips of clay, although on the surface they appear to be no different, just as in our human world, where it seems that people are all the same to each other on a macro level, the moment they are cut and looked at closely for their patterns, they are full of subtle variations and individuality, and it is a touching experience.

When creating ceramics, Jing often thinks about the possibilities of shaping other materials. Starting from ceramic materials to other materials and then back to the ceramic materials themselves is a process for her to deepen her understanding of ceramics. This is also a concept that she has been adhering to in her creations.
